Charlize Theron was born in South Africa. When she was a little girl (at the age of 6) she stared to dance and she always wanted to become a professional dancer. At the age of 16 she switched from dance to modeling.

After one year of modeling her love for dancing prevailed which didn't last to long because she had a knee injury. After that injury her only chance was Hollywood.

In 1994 she was discovered by John Crosby (talent manager) in a bank. Her first movie was '2 Days in the Valley' in 1996. After that she acted in a few horror movies.
